DIRE STRAITS Alchemy Live UK 2LP Totally Stunning Mint Museum Copy!!

Up for sale here is a totally stunning example of this LP, in absolutely superb condition.  It would represent a final upgrade for all collectors.  It is almost as if it were new, just totally bright, crisp clean and unused. Amazing!!

Outer Sleeve: MINT
 
The gatefold sleeve is in Mint condition.  I always think long and hard before grading anything as mint as I understand the necessary condition that the item has to be in to achieve this grading I probably grade 1 in 200 records as Mint as a result.  Yes, if you examined this sleeve very carefully you might spot things that you think shouldn’t be there, like the odd tiny light indentation, but I honestly think that most copies purchased from new would also exhibit these tiny traces of wear just from the production process and subsequent transportation and handling.
 
Anyway, this this sleeve is just gorgeous and cannot be faulted in any meaningful way.  Just a brilliant copy.
 
 
Vinyl:  Side 1 / 2 / 3 / 4    Mint / Mint / Mint / Near Mint
 
The Vinyl is in stunning condition throughout.  I was left wondering if these records had ever been played.  They have been stored away in their original black polylined inners and probably haven’t seen the light of day for the vast majority of their 35 years or so age. All the records retain their it deep black gloss shine throughout but I cannot make out any hairlines of note or other wear.  I’ve graded Side 4 as Near Mint because some of the grooves look more pronounced in a couple of areas, almost as if they are raised. I’m 99% sure this is a manufacturing issue, it is not damage and won’t affect the playback in any way. I’ve seen this before on phonogram pressings and whilst noticeable are not cause for any concern.  An absolutely stunning pair of LP’s

The Labels are in Mint condition – perfectly clean without any issues whatsoever.
 
The plain black inner sleeves are both in EX+ condition.  Clean and unsplit with minor rippling only.

Postage and Packing:
 
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
