NM = Near Mint.  As close to perfect as you can get, no visible scuffs/scratches.  Played only a couple times, at most.

EX = Excellent.  Vinyl has only a couple minor surface scuffs, but certainly no scratches.  Label has very slight evidence of wear, no writing or sticker residue.  Jacket has no seam splits, no creases, very minor chipping at edges/corners, very minor ring-wear, no writing.

VG+ = Very Good+.  Vinyl has a few surface scuffs and/or very minor scratches (but nothing approaching a ‘feeler’ scratch).  Label shows some evidence of wear, no writing or sticker residue.  Jacket has no seam splits, no sticker residue or writing on it, but has 1-2 small hairline creases and/or minor chipping at edges or bumped corners, some ring-wear.

VG = Very Good.  Vinyl has numerous surface scuffs and/or very minor scratches (but still no ‘feeler’ scratches). Label shows some evidence of wear, no writing.  Jacket has no seam splits, but has a few hairline creases and/or chipping at edges or bumped corners, moderate ring-wear, no writing.

VG- = Very Good-.  Vinyl has numerous surface scuffs and minor scratches (still no ‘feeler’ scratches). Label shows evidence of wear and/or has small amount of writing.  Jacket has small seam split or has numerous small creases and/or chipping at edges or bumped corners or small amount of writing, stickers or sticker residue. Possibly a cut-out. Moderate ring-wear.

All VG,VG+ or VG- records will probably have some surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a track intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music otherwise.

G = Good.  Vinyl has numerous surface scuffs/scratches and/or a ‘feeler’ scratch.  Label shows a lot of wear and/or some writing.  Jacket has seam split (less than 6” long) or numerous moderate creases and/or major chipping at edges and corners, water damage/stains, or major writing, or heavy ring-wear.
