Up for auction is a rare promo copy of the David Bowie album Aladdin Sane, released in the U.S. on RCA Records (AFL1-4852) in 1976:
-Guaranteed 1970s vintage pressing, NOT recent reissue -Rare promotional gold stamp cover -Original Gatefold cover -Original inner sleeve w/ lyrics -Vinyl comes in poly audiophile protective inner sleeve -NOT a record club pressing
Note: This copy is a rare second issue promotional copy issued in 1976--which RCA would do to promote the new Bowie album that year, which was Station To Station. Very rare.
Condition: Cover looks great, no significant signs of wear, no ring wear, no seam splits. Has some typical signs of very light age along spine, but titles are clean. Corners are sharp, one tiny bump. Interior is clean. Spine is still tight. Very attractive and colorful original. Grade: Excellent (EX)
Vinyl also looks great, still retains its original glossy shine. No apparently scratches of scuffs, just some faint signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes. Looks like this record has been played maybe only a couple times at most but handled with care. Nicely preserved. Grade: Excellent (EX)
