Up for auction is a nice early MONO copy of The Beatles album Meet The Beatles, originally released in the U.S. on Capitol Records (T-2047) in 1964:
-Guaranteed early 1960s pressing, NOT later reissue -Original and preferable MONO pressing -Early 3 BMI publishing credits on labels
-Original paste-down cover -Brown "Beatles" title on cover
-NO "subsidiary" on original Capitol rainbow rim labels -Heavy inflexible vinyl
-Record comes in poly audiophile protective inner sleeve
Condition: Cover looks nice, no significant ring wear, front looks clean with minor aging on edges. Back shows some light age and rubbing. Top seam is split about 1/3 from opening but it closes together nicely. Other seams are intact and strong. Spine is nice, titles are legible. Still, a nicely preserved attractive original. Grade: Very Good (VG)
Vinyl still has a lot of its original shine. Does show a number of superficial light scratches on both sides, but nothing deep or serious that causes any playing issues. Labels are clean, very little wear around spindle holes. No skips, no loud pops, and not much pressing noise in quiet passages--a very good listening/play copy for someone that doesn't want to spend $150 on a Near Mint original mono copy. Nice mono fidelity! Grade: Visual: Very Good (VG) Audio: Very Good (VG+)
