This listing is for Ruth Lyons " Ten Tunes of Christmas" 1958 holiday album on Candee Records # 50-50. I have sold many of these on ebay but this is the best possible copy i have found to date. The jacket is in near mint condition for its age, and the vinyl has absolutely no flaws and sounds and plays perfectly. Ruth lyons was a popular local cincinnati celebrity hosting the Ruth Lyons 50-50 club beginning in the 1950's on local station WLWT channel 5. Broadcast of her weekday afternoon show was also broadcast to dayton and indianapolis as well.
This holiday lp features cliff lash and his orchestra with ruth lyons playing the organ. My research shows that ruth lyons wrote all of the tunes on this album.
The Candee Records label was named for her only daughter who died at an early age. This is a great holiday album for those who pine for those years of christmas past. Check out the many photos. Item ships within 24 hours of payment.
