Notes This version features the later red and black Impulse/ABC labels with "A Product of ABC Records, Inc. New York, N.Y. 10019 - Made in the USA" printed along the bottom. There is a line's worth of empty space between the album title and the artist name (both above the spindle hole) on the labels.
First catalogue number on labels, second on cover.
Recorded 28 June, 1965 at Van Gelder Studios, Englewood Cliffs, N.J.
This is the 2nd pressing with the 1st take of the piece.
By accident Bob Thiele put out the wrong take. After he went through the initial press run, he switched the masters to the other take and inscribed edition II on the inside of the runout circle. So there are really two versions of ascension.

My Grading System:
All
recordings are visually inspected under high-intensity lights, using a
customized grading system. Vinyl that has been play tested will be
marked accordingly (PT).
Records play tested using a Technics SL-1200 MK turntable with a Stanton 680-EL DJ Cartridge, tracking at 2.5 G.
Mint (M)-10: This is the unicorn of vinyl records. It simply does not exist!
Near Mint(NM)-9.5:The Loch Ness Monster of vinyl.I believe Nessie exists, just haven't seen her!
Excellent(EX)- 9: This is the highest grade for records that I use (even new/unopened). The record is in beautiful condition & shows no visible signs of wear or damage that will affect sound quality.INTERNATIONAL BUYERS-I USE GLOBAL SHIPPING ONLY:
1. I don't have to charge for Signature Confirmation - Add $20 to $30 to shipping, I MUST have this for tracking purposes
2. Many International Buyers tell me that Global Shipping is less expensive for them and they prefer it.
3. If a Buyer claims that a package is not received, eBay takes care of their loss (Global Shipping). I don't lose my item, get a chargeback to my account for what the buyer paid for an item including shipping (Without Global Shipping).
I appreciate you understanding my stance on Global Shipping and look forward to doing business with you in the future!
