This is an ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING MOFI of Mobile Fidelity's 4th release, "The Power and the Majesty" from 1978, and it has BEAUTIFUL VINYL! This is a fairly scarce copy pressed in JAPAN on their typically very quiet vinyl. "TPATM" is a full albums worth of various trains in various location and is really cool. In scene 2, its recorded on the "California Highway 1 overpass near Oceano, catching No. 99 a few minutes late, as she nears the scheduled mid-day stop at San Luis Obispo. The glitch that you hear in one of the air horn blasts is not a defect in the disc, but was caused by a spec of dirt on (our) original master tape. A careful listen will detect the morning dew, as the sun begins to dry the surrounding brush". That's quite a boast lol. The vinyl here is incredibly shiny and clean with lots of color, NO scratches, just a wonderfully new looking LP recorded from the original half-speed master lacquers, and it is wrapped in the original clear static resistant MOFI sleeve. The cover has some edge wear and just a hint of ring wear, with NO splitting, NO saw marks, holes, or cut corners, and a legible spine with a bit of wear. So, no songs here, just the incredible sounds of trains, and they sound incredibly powerful turned up on a good system. We aren't one of those sellers!    We've been selling on eBay for awhile now, having stopped for a slew of surgeries and now retired from employment because of it. So, we're opening up a record store where it will be easier for me to stay active with my issues, and all proceeds from sales of our (mostly rare / scarce) vinyl goes towards making our store a reality (building records racks now, and our CD racks are full!). I post here as often as I can, please message if you're looking for something in particular. WE MAIL UNTO OTHERS AS WE WOULD HAVE THEM MAIL TO US! This will be by Media Mail, which is a bit slower but allows us to ship all US vinyl purchases FREE! We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
