Offered for sale is a double vinyl LP of The Wall by Pink Floyd. I can’t be certain, but I believe this is a first or at least very early pressing from 1979. The catalogue number is shown on the inner sleeves, and is SHDW 411 / OC-15863410 / SHSP 4111 or 4112 for the second record. It comes complete with its original inner sleeves with rounded corners.
I think it is a first, or at least very early, pressing as the band members are not mentioned on the credits in the gatefold sleeve – and John McClure is listed as an engineer. Please note the title sticker designed by Scarfe is not present. The matrix numbers for each side are as follows:
Side 1: SHSP 4111 A-2U
Side 2: SHSP 4111 B-3U
Side 3: SHSP 4112 A-3U
Side 4: SHSP 4112 B-5U
It’s in good condition, especially considering its age. The sleeve is showing minor ringwear, and has light creases in certain lights (please see the pictures) but is good overall.
The inner sleeves also show minor signs of ringwear but are again in good condition given their age, with no splits or tears anywhere.
The vinyl itself plays fine, and is clear with only minimal surface scratches. The labels are also clean, with minor spindle marks to either side.
Overall this is a nice copy of this influential album, which has plenty of life left in it for a fan.
All records will be well packed, machine cleaned and posted within 3 days of receiving cleared payment.
Please feel free to ask any questions, and please take a look at my other items - including more vinyl. I’m happy to combine postage for multiple purchases.
