Up for sale now is a fabulous 4 LP vinyl BOX SET of JRR Tolkien's "The Hobbit", read by Nicol Williamson, best known (by me at least) as the English actor who played Merlin in the best (again, to me lol) King Arthur movie ever filmed, "Excalibur". What a great voice to be reading this, and the copy before me is in such fine shape (see the photos). The box itself is in brilliant shape with the exception of one broken corner on the front top left. Otherwise, the other three corners are great, and the "hinge" that holds the lid to the box is in very fine shape as well. Almost no shelf wear, and the cover photo is beautiful, drawn by Tolkien himself. Inside the box is the ORIGINAL 8 page BOOKLET with a classic photo of Tolkien in repose against an Ent, and a great essay on the author and the book. Each of the 4 LPs are in beautiful shape with just a light mark, NOT a scratch, on one side. This is in such great shape, and it sounds wonderful, a soothing voice telling a magical tale, this is all in all a stunning copy with just very minor, mentioned above, issues. We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
