I'm selling over 1,000 LPs and came across this and a few other autographed 1960s records - see my others for Chris Farlowe and MIKE D'ABO.
It has 6 names written in slightly different ink: one is feint by the opening, which I can't read but could be 'N LATHALL'?.There's what looks like a monogram/initials style one possibly BR or RB?. There are 2 JOHN LENNON signatures and a RINGO STARR one.
I've looked at a lot of autographs online but have not been able to identify the first 2 mentioned. The 2 John Lennon signatures look very much like others out there from 1963/4, and while Ringo tended to sign in 1 line with a little star underline, I have seen a few like this on 2 lines from that era.
Obvious questions are: Why would the Beatles sign a Hollies cover? Why sign it twice ? Only thing I can think of is that this was during the fan frenzy that was Beatlemania, and fans would thrust anything at the fabs to sign and they were passed about in the confusion. Both groups were on Parlophone so may have been at record store signing.
