THE SMITHS - Hatful Of Hollow Rough Trade WHITE LABEL (Promo? / Test Press?) / ROUGH 76 (UK, 1984).
Here's an interesting Smiths LP - a white label promo release of Hatful of Hollow.
It has 'ROUGH 76' (A-1 / B-1) etched into the dead wax at the end of each side. There's also an etching that reads (I think) 'IAN (EIRE)' and another longer one on the other side that I can't make out. It arrived in a batch of records from the same vintage (1984/85) so I'm pretty certain it's 'of the time'.
The vinyl is in solid EX (Excellent) condition, maybe EX+. Some faint wispy removal scuffs and fine, near invisible lines (this is under unforgiving light) but nothing more. NO scratches or other nasties.
The labels are without any damage. 'A' and 'B' have been written in marker to signify the sides. There is light to moderate spindle evidence.
The sleeve, is the misprint with the missing dot between 'Accept Yourself' and 'Girl Afraid' and is in above average VG+ (Very Good Plus) condition. Near to excellent, it only shows light edge rubs and signs of surface handling. Spine is slightly flattened but overall it's a pleasing, well-preserved example. NO INNER LYRIC SLEEVE (as issued presumably).
