At Rah Digga's best on her debut album Dirty Harriet, ripping lines on her single "Tight" or showering you with disrespect on "Straight Spittin', Part II," she recalls a young MC Lyte -- before her lipstick and rouge phase -- a street-smart tomboy with the right blend of talent and attitude to hold her own.  It doesn't hurt that Digga's blessed with one helluva voice either -- a coarse, rough-hewn flow that's strong enough for a man, but made by a woman.  Little wonder that she throws her lot in with the roughnecks, but wisely avoids most (though not all) of the standard thug clichés.  The production, handled by an assortment of producers including Busta Rhymes, DJ Premier, and Rockwilder, is consistently strong, especially on cuts like "Lessons Of Today", "Tight", and even the crossover pitch "So Cool" with R&B crooner Carl Thomas.  Her time with the lackluster Flipmode Squad is best forgotten -- this release shows that Digga is perfectly capable of standing on her own!!  Definitely a must-have for any true DJ or hip-hop fan out there... so grab it now!!!

Released in 2000, this album is now long out of print and is impossible to find on vinyl these days.  Comes in full picture sleeve as shown above!  Also comes with a rare factory error, as the hype sticker on the shrink wrap is for a Pantera album instead!  Don't sleep... you won't see this rare gem again!!  Grab it today before it's gone!!
