Here's a trip down memory lane for many: a 4 LP set of "American Top 40 with Casey Kasem" from November 16, 1985. This has all the songs that were Top 40 then, including Dire Straits "Walk Of Life", John Mellencamp's "Lonely 'Ol Night", "Tonight She Comes" by The Cars, "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush, "And We Danced" by The Hooters, and lots more. These were radio shows by the late great music lover Casey Kasem, and these discs include commercials and Casey in between songs. This set also includes the call sheets explaining the order of the songs, the lengths of the tracks, and the commercials. I've listened to most of this and it is a real flash back. Some really great stuff and a lot of fun. FOUR RECORDS! They come in a single sleeve, not a gatefold and not a box, and while it is still in solid condition, its got signs of age like bumped corners and some edge wear, though NO splitting but the top edge is coming unglued, a blank spine, and it has a bend wrinkle front bottom right, so see the photos. The discs themselves are in SUPER shape, NO scratches, and from the 2 or 3 I listened to, not only NO skips, but it sounds great, and what a trip. Maybe a sleeve mark here or there, but they're clean, shiny, and have lots of color. I've forgotten how diverse the radio was back then. These are highly collectible, I can imagine a full set of these would be like an encyclopedia of music, enormous, and expensive. So, here's just one of these coveted radio hit collections, this on from 11/16/85. Great stuff. Get it while we've got just the one.
