"ONE NIGHT STAND" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC. ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC. THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS JUST AFTER WORLD WAR TWO AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
This disc is from the One Night Stand "Fill" series. These discs were issued to Armed Forces stations as stand-by programs and would only be played in case any of the discs from the regular series were damaged or otherwise unplayable. These discs are much less common than discs from the regular One Night Stand series
"One Night Stand" fill program #107 from January 18, 1946 featuring Thomas Peluso & His Orchestra with vocals by Hal Derwin. Songs include "Chickery-Chick", "Along The Navajo Trail" vocal Hal Derwin, "That's For Me", unidentified instrumental, "Aren't You Glad You're You", unidentified instrumental, "It's A Beautiful Day" vocal Hal Derwin, "Let It Snow Let It Snow Let It Snow", "I Had You On My Mind Last Night" vocal Hal Derwin, "But I Did" (cut off by closing announcement)
I could not find any reference to any existing copy of this broadcast and it's details are not listed in the One Night Stand Discography by Harry MacKenzie
Program was meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcast! Program is complete and 30 minutes
