This listing features an ORIGINAL 1965 WHITE LABEL PROMO featuring Elvis Presley Crying In The Chapel 45 RPM released on the RCA Victor label. The song was actually a HUGE hit for Elvis when it was released in '65. In fact, the gospel song "Crying in the Chapel" actually peaked at #3 in the US pop charts and went all the way to #1 in the UK.

That's right! A GOSPEL SONG was the number 1 and number 3 song in both the UK and US POP CHARTS respectively! A gospel song at number 1??? And during The Beatles reign no less??? That was...and still is...unheard of in the music industry! It will never happen again!

CONDITION: The incredible sleeve is over half a century old and is STILL in NEAR MINT PLUS condition! The vinyl has been played so we're calling it VG+ or better! The only significant flaw is some writing on the label which is shown in the photos.

NOTE: The writing on the label reads, "Property of Larry G." Incidentally, Larry Glenn was the youngest son of Artie Glenn, who wrote Crying In The Chapel in the early 1950s. Later, Artie explained that the song was inspired by 7 year old Larry, who was deathly ill with pneumonia and fighting for his life at the time.
