MARILLION ~ Seasons End UK LP 1st Pressing EMI EMD 1011 1989
Here we have a really super UK 1st pressing UK of this LP which delivered really good audio when tested, and is not far off being in perfect mint condition all round.
Grading: -
Outer Sleeve: Near Mint
A lovely copy of this gatefold sleeve. Colours are strong and vibrant and there is no obvious wear or damage visible. Perhaps just the mildest hint of wear to the opening corners, but beautiful all round, and difficult to find a better one some 30 odd years after release.
Vinyl: EX+ to Near Mint
The record retains it’s deep black gloss shine. When viewed under bright halogen light the surface reveals the smallest amount of wear and one or two extremely feint hairlines. Again, It’s a super copy which isn’t too far off being in Mint condition.
Vinyl Audio: EX+
The playback delivered really clear and dynamic audio with just a very little in the way of occasional background noise in one or two of the quieter parts, mainly at the beginning of each side.
This is a superb copy which can be turned up LOUD and it sounds amazing!
Matrix Numbers:
EMD 1011 A-1U-1-1-1
EMD 1011 B-1U-1-1-1
Labels: EX+
Clean with no writing or other notable damage. A few spindle marks can be seen when the LP is held to bright halogen light.
Inner Sleeve: The original DRG inner sleeve is in EX+ condition and is date coded 6/89 for June 1989. The album was released in September 1989 so the inner is consistent with this being a 1st pressing example of this LP.
Overall, this is a stunning example of a 1st pressing of this LP.
Please note I grade conservatively. No overblown, overhyped description. I describe as I see (and hear)
Postage and Packing:
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping. Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers. My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
