This is still sealed. Received it back in 2016 directly from Asthmatic Kitty Records. Has been in my ikea kallax shelve (with doors) since. Does not have dust cover, since it’s still sealed. Looks to be in great condition.


What you see in the pictures is exactly what you will get. I ship how I’d like to receive a record in the mail.

Limited to 10,000 copies worldwide. This edition features Blue Marvel on the cover instead of Superman or the balloons. The records are on "Antimatter Blue" and "Cape White" colored vinyl. A red star-shaped 12" featuring "Chicago (Demo)" is also included. The audio from this release comes from the 2014 remaster of Illinois.

Includes printed insert with lyrics on one side and a photo of "Sufjan Stevens and the Illinoisemakers" on the other.

Most of the songs were recorded at The Buddy Project (Astoria, Queens).

Many of the quiet parts were recorded at Sufjan's apartment in Brooklyn.

The piano was recorded in the dead of night at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.

The string quartet was recorded at Marla's apartment in Washington Heights.

Matt Morgan's vocals were recorded in Redhook, brooklyn.

The electric organ was recorded at the New Jerusalem Recreational Room in Clarksboro, NJ.

The vibraphone was recorded at Carroll Music Studios, New York City.
