RUSH 1st Album UK Mercury 9100 011 Released 1974

Up for auction here we have a really nice Original 1st press copy of this iconic Rush LP. It’s in superb condition all round

Grading: -

Outer Sleeve: VG+

The single matt sleeve is clean with no significant damage.  There is some very mild wear on the front cover on the Rush logo and towards the bottom and some mild creasing towards the opening edge on the rear, plus some shelf wear to some of the bottom edge. Overall though, despite these fairly minor points it remains a nice example which is well above the average condition this LP is usually found in.

Vinyl: EX+

A really clean example all round with just the odd but extremely feint and whispy hairline when viewed under strong halogen light.  A difficult album to find in what is essentially absolutely top condition and seldom seen these days.  A really nice copy.

Vinyl - Audio: EX+

The album plays through extremely well with no major issues and just the very occasional light noise.  Sounds are deep rich and full. The album delivers a great sonic performance.

Nice and clean with no writing or other damage and perfectly clean. Just the very feintest signs of one or two light spindle marks

Inner Sleeve: EX-

The generic Polygram inner sleeve is in EX- condition and is clean with just some minor creasing.

Overall, this is a really nice copy of an original UK pressing of this LP and the vinyl is in really super condition.

Postage and Packing:

Records are stored flat outside the sleeve prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
