RUSH 2112 UK LP Mercury 9100 039. Released 1976.

This auction is for an original UK 1st pressing of this classic Rush album, released in 1976. Both the gatefold sleeve and LP are in nice condition

PLEASE SEE MY OTHER RUSH AUCTIONS LISTED AT THE MOMENT. I HAVE SOME REALLY SUPERB COPIES OF SEVERAL LP’S - NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

Detailed Gradings: -

Outer Sleeve: EX-

The matt gatefold sleeve is in EX-.  A very clean copy with only mild signs of wear, predominantly to the reverse where there is slight wear towards the top and bottom edges.  Despite this it remains a nice copy, the spine is largely unworn and remains fully legible.  This isn’t a mint sleeve, but it is way above the average condition for an original pressing.

Vinyl: (Visual): EX+

This is a very clean copy of this record. Under bright halogen light it’s possible to see some isolated but extremely fine hairlines caused purely by removal from the sleeve.  Side 2 grades very close to near mint, and overall this is one of the best copies you will ever find.

Vinyl (Audio): Near Mint

Oh Wow! The LP plays superbly, with great dynamics and clarity. It also plays very quietly indeed and what can be heard in the way of any background noise is largely undetectable. A superb copy from start to finish that in most people’s eyes would represent a final upgrade. Absolutely stunning copy!

The vinyl sits (and revolves) absolutely flat on the turntable.

Inner Sleeve: VG

Generic Polygram inner sleeve. The poly-lined inner sleeve has some general wrinkling, the usual discolouration often found on Polygram inner sleeves and a few isolated points of damage on one side.  Overall, not great but easy to replace.

Matrix Numbers:

9100 039 1Y //1 420 04 11 5 PR

9100 039 2Y// 1 420 04 11 17

Labels: EX

Clean with no writing or notable damage. A couple of feint spindle marks and extremely mild wear can be seen under bright light.

Please note I grade conservatively.

Postage and Packing:

Records are stored flat outside the sleeve prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
