Each record is cleaned and/or wiped down with clean terry cloth dampened with distilled water. Then they are dried with a clean dry piece of terry cloth. We then visually grade the condition of each record under a strong light using Goldmine standards with the addition of the grade EX between VG+ and NM. We use EX when the record is obviously better than VG+ but it is not in NM condition. We never use the grade of Mint. Anything that appears Mint will be graded as NM.

We do not play grade the record.

Although we understand that the label condition is an integral part of judging the condition of a vinyl record, we do not grade the labels. We leave that for the viewers to judge using the pics provided. The condition grade given is on the condition of the vinyl playing surfaces.
