Review from another site: The debut album from Marie/Lepanto featuring Will Johnson (Centro-Matic, Monsters of Folk, South San Gabriel, Overseas) and Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster (Water Liars, Theodore). This is an absolute flawless album by two of music’s most brilliant artists. Their voices share vocals every other song throughout the album and literally mesh together like they have been a band for years. Will Johnson has been known for doing many projects with many different artists throughout his career but this may be his best. Both artists have an honest vocal delivery where you believe every word they say. I hope they continue to make amazing music together in the future. If the two tracks “Famished Raven” and “Simple Scenes” don’t pull at you emotionally as a listener you have no soul.
