Max Roach - Members, Don't Git Weary - LP Vinyl - Atlantic / Warner Jazz (81227 3618 1) German Reissue 2002
Very rare and excellent reissue of this stunning 1968 album. To say it is a Max Roach album almost does a disservice to Gary Bartz on saxophone and Stanley Cowell on piano, but it makes a nice change for the drummer to be front and centre. A mention too for Andy Bey, who provides the vocal on the title track.
I bought this new in 2002 when it was released and have played it very sparingly, while keeping it in a strong clear PVC outer sleeve. It's a very nice-sounding pressing. The sleeve is graded EX with little or no sign of wear. The record is also graded EX with minimal surface marking and plays very well throughout.
I will offer this for
sale elsewhere, so it may go at any time. If a bid is placed here, it
will no longer be available anywhere else at any price.
