The rarest and most collectible of all Beatles US record albums holy grail "Ad Back" cover of "Introducing the Beatles" Version 1. The best condition of the cover I've ever seen. It's a true gem still remaining in its original factory shrink wrap, whose condition could be graded as Near Mint Minus. This is the final upgrade of the cover containing the "Printed in U.S.A." vertical text along the edge in the lower left-hand corner on the front. The back cover contains an advertisement for the other 25 of "Other Fine Albums of Significant Interest on Vee-Jay Records". The interior of the cover has the ¼" flaps at the top and bottom. The album comes with an original white background Vee-Jay Records inner sleeve which already shows up rarely at the auctions. This copy not only has an outstanding cover but also the rarest of all "Introducing the Beatles" label variations. 1st Version labels having not the common oval VJ logo but the rarest large brackets [VJ] Vee-Jay logo. On various Beatles sources the minimal cost of a copy with this label variation is estimated to be $1000 and considering its insane rarity I think its underpriced. Of course, there're more expensive label variations, like the Stereo labels, but you won't find the rarer labels than this copy listed for an auction. Not always the most expensive item is the rarest one and this is exactly applicable to this copy. These large brackets 1st print variation labels are a gem in any Beatles collection. 1st print color band Version 1 labels with the incredibly rare large [VJ] Vee-Jay brackets logo,"Long-Playing" and "Microgroove" text, and 2¾" pressing ring. The heavyweight 1st pressing vinyl was pressed by the Allentown Record Co. Inc. company in Pennsylvania and contains the "ARC" etched in the runout groove along with the machine stamped "AudioMatrix". Only 4,925 of the "ARC" records with the [VJ] brackets logo represent only about 6% of the total Mono Version 1 records pressed, which explains their insane scarcity and high value on the collector's market. The matrix numbers featuring the very early pressing date stamps are as follows: 63-3402 ARC AudioMatrix AB 1-16-64 / 63-3403 ARC AudioMatrix A I I  1-11-64.

I grade the cover as Near Mint Minus. It's in stunning condition, only having several light barely visible creases along the spine. The shrink wrap containing the breathe holes is fully intact and doesn't have any tears, splits or missing pieces. The back cover slick retains it's beautiful vivid colors. I grade the glossy vinyl as Very Good Plus. It has some very light surface hairlines and scuffs from the inner sleeve, which is in Near Mint Minus condition. The clean labels are in Excellent condition and are wear and scuff-free, only having a few very light spindle marks. The vinyl sounds great only having some light background noise, which is most likely just static and will get reduced or go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
