This it it! This is the first edition Star Wars Original Soundtrack that started it all!
Recorded at Anvil Studios in Denham, England in March 1977, this is the original soundtrack with a huge, amazing sound created by John Williams. This album's 2 shiny records are in their original company, paper sleeves, in near-mint condition, and produce a full, beautiful, large, excellent sound!
The gatefold jacket has full-color pictures from the movie and there are 3 original enclosures including a poster and 2 inserts with liner notes, all in perfect mint condition.
This soundtrack album produced a number one single hit on Billboard's Hot 100, and became the best-selling symphonic album of all time, certified both Gold & Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. It won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA award, and Grammy awards in the Best Film Score and Soundtrack Album categories. In 2005 the American Film Institute named this original Star Wars soundtrack the most memorable score of all time for any American film.
