This is one of "those" songs I play every year throughout the holiday season because it's so upbeat and happy, has such beautiful harmonies, and it's such a Christmasy sound. I love hearing it every year!
Phil Spector was known for creating, The Wall of Sound and these 3 "girl groups" made sure to include the wall of sound when they sang. In fact, Phil Spector taught The Beatles and The Grateful Dead as well as many other groups and musicians the idea behind the wall of sound, making everyone who created music that way very successful.
Mr. Spector married frontwoman to The Ronettes, Veronica Bennett, known as Ronnie in 1968.
