Ain't she a beaut'?!
Here we have the ASTOUNDING Larry Young's masterwork, Unity
Featuring fellow jazz giants Woody Shaw, Joe Henderson, Elvin Jones; this sought after pressing also sounds GREAT!
Notes on This Pressing:
Blue Note Records BST 84221 Plastylite "P" aka "Ear" in runouts, meaning this IS a first pressing "New York USA" labels Van Gelder Stamp Stereo 1966 Vinyl is VG, though definitely close to VG+ with just a handful light stray marks throughout. Jacket  is likewise a VG leaning close to VG+. It has slight allover discoloration from age, ringwear. Top seam has some small splits though still very much intact.
Please note,  I grade conservatively and by the Goldmine standard, here is what you can expect...
For the VG vinyl - Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers.
For the VG Jacket - Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers.
***WITH ALL THIS SAID if you have a Crosley or other budget turntable that comes in a suitcase, there is a chance with this, and every record really, that the tone arm, being the weak little thing it is, might bounce off, this is not a sign of a deficient record, this is an issue with the turntable. If you encounter this problem a penny taped to the top of the head of your tone arm generally fixes that right up.*** (SERIOUS jazz fans please ignore, just gotta throw that in for liability sake!)
Please see pictures & let me know if you have any questions.
~~~P.S. Lots more stellar jazz dropping all this month!!~~~
