Deep Purple:  Perfect Strangers and Slaves and Masters, German pressing vinyl albums – bundle.

 

Please read description below, bundled as not necessarily up to the normal condition of our vinyl – but still good 😊.

Both purchased preloved and played once.

 

Perfect Strangers.

Polydor (red label) Cat No. 823 777-1

Disc played once 24.12.93 when the audio playback was noted as:

A.   Ex.

B.   Ex (-) towards end. Presumably just got noisier rather than scratches etc. Disc looks in Excellent condition with no visual issues.

Sleeve overall in Good + condition, light edge scuffs and associated pinches, with small amount of print loss.

Original price sticker left on, by the looks of it possibly a little surface print loss beneath it. Sounds Familiar in Romford alas long gone ☹.

Double sided inner bag has light handling creases, just beginnings of disc edge breakthrough on one side

 

Slaves and Masters:

RCA (Black & Silver) label. Cat No: PL 90535

Disc played once 24.3.94 when the audio playback was noted as:

A.   Ex. (-) ish

B.   Ex.

Disc looks in overall very good condition with deep glossy lustre, no spindle lines.

The only visual issue is a very light surface mark (hairline, doesn’t register with the finger nail test as a scratch which extends in an arc across the first 2.5 tracks of side 1. See audio playback note above, no record of an actual persistent scratch.

Sleeve overall in Very Good + condition, light edge scuffs and associated pinches.

Two areas on front top and bottom right where it looks like former labels have bene removed lifting the outer glossy finish. Small amount of pen indents within the top former sticker area (price?).

Double sided inner bag has light handling creases only.

 

 

Selling on behalf of my Dad (who supplied all the info) from his personal collection, from the olden days when he collected vinyl.

I aim to use recycled packaging when appropriate.

However, all vinyl is despatched using top quality Defendapack QP2 Quick Pack Multi Music Max mailers with additional stiffening inserts. So You can rest assured that your vinyl will be well packed and protected against the trials of postal travel!

A few words about the vinyl grading.

I try to be as honest as possible, but all grades are based upon an experienced but ultimately subjective visual inspection, trying to identify and highlight obvious issues.

Back in the day whilst my Dad purchased much of the vinyl new, as he expanded his collection, (eventually running into a few thousand discs) hence many only played once, inevitably he was drawn to second hand (pre-loved) copies of certain discs, including the rarer original 1970’s issue boots.

As you will appreciate, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this or looking at the listing, the nature of many of these live/unofficial recordings meant that original production standards were not necessarily a top priority, with occasional mastering/pressing faults occurring.

Similarly with any second hand vinyl which in some cases is almost 50 years old they will potentially exhibit aural signs of having been played, sometimes a fair bit..these are not mint, new unplayed discs (unless stated).

The attraction for my Dad was either obtaining the different variations of an issue or otherwise unavailable rare recordings…its called collecting!

When playing vinyl my Dad had a Technics SL1800 turntable with Ortfon cartridge, so no thrashing and grinding on an old  fidelity UA4! (early 70’s starter bedroom lo-fi, crank it up 😊).

If you are a non UK bidder, in the EU (and the rest of the world), please be aware that following 'Brexit', your package may be liable for import duties. These are your responsibilities and will be collected by the courier.

From 1st January 2021, with the UK no longer part of the European Union, our sales to customers in EU countries will be treated as exports. For EU customers, the price you see on the does now not include VAT.

Orders from EU countries

You will be liable for import VAT at the time of delivery via the postal/courier service in your country. The amount of the VAT payable will depend on how the items are classed for VAT in your country. 

The exact implementation of this is likely to vary across different postal services, and there may be some grace period for orders from the UK over the initial weeks and months in some countries, especially for items in transit on 1st January 2021.

Didn't the UK and EU sign a free-trade deal?

Yes, but the UK-EU Free Trade deal agreed on December 24th 2020 means that duties will not be payable on the vast majority of goods moving between the UK and EU. However, duties and VAT are different things, and this does not impact on the VAT measures detailed above.
