Ain't she a beaut'?!
Here we have the AMAZING Jimmy Heath on the superb, Triple Threat!
Featuring fellow jazz supermen, Freddie Hubbard, Julius Watkins, Cedar Walton, Percy Heath, and Albert Heath.
This sought after pressing both looks and sounds GREAT!
Notes on This Pressing:
Riverside Records RLP 400 First U.S. mono pressing Original Riverside labels Deep Groove Mono 1962 Vinyl is VG+, clean with just a couple very light marks. Jacket is VG, definitely looks close to VG+, though there is a split in the bottom seam, two TINY splits to spine, and a handful of nicks to top seam .
Please note, I grade conservatively and by the Goldmine standard, here is what you can expect...
For the VG+ vinyl - A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present.
For the VG Jacket - Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers.
***WITH ALL THIS SAID if you have a Crosley or other budget turntable that comes in a suitcase, there is a chance with this, and every record really, that the tone arm, being the weak little thing it is, might bounce off, this is not a sign of a deficient record, this is an issue with the turntable. If you encounter this problem a penny taped to the top of the head of your tone arm generally fixes that right up.*** (SERIOUS jazz fans please ignore, just gotta throw that in for liability sake!)
Please see pictures & let me know if you have any questions.
~~~P.S. Lots more stellar jazz dropping all this month!!~~~
