KY/IL TERRITORY JAZZ Jack Staulcup Orch - You’re The Sunshine of My Heart E-.
Frankly, I may be wrong, this may be the only known recording of these songs by Jack Staulcup. From what I can tell this is not from his 1950s Oriole sessions. The style of shellac and thickness seems to line up with a late 30s to late 40s pressing. No research turns up these songs though. I have listened to it and the vocals and style match known Jack Staulcup recordings. This could be a test press that never got released? Apparently his son gave out dozens of his found recordings in the 90s to nursing homes in the Midwest and the remainder were destroyed in a 2002 fire.
URC Is stamped into the dead shellac on each side. 8562-R etched into one side, 8563-R into the other. Clearly some sort of catalogue/matrix numbers, but In researching this disc for a few weeks now I cannot find anything that they correspond with.
Also this is a shellac pressing. Not an acetate, nor a home recorded disc.
