Tony Hancock Tribute LP - Hancock Beyond The Grave. A very limited private recording made at Commercial Studios Manchester England in 1985. I'm not sure where this record was pressed, although looking superb without any scratches it does have very slight surface noise in parts. Not enough to spoil listening but I want to point this out. This album is a tribute to Hancock and has one show each side. In Hancocks Heavenly Half Hour Tony arrives in Heaven to find his fame has gone before him and God wants to see him act - - - but, thanks to Sid, things are not what they seem. In Hancocks Hellish Half Hour Tony tries to re-light a fiery furnace but gets lost, bumps into the Devil and discovers Sid's most devious con-trick. Hancock is played by James Gaskin, other members of the cast are Grazyna Grubczak and Maxton G. Beesley. This material would not be out of place if it had been performed by Hancock himself. Visually the record looks superb, cover is slightly soiled. To get a better idea look at the photos, they are of the actual record.
