Monstrously rare, recorded in a professional studio located in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1970, Harbinger’s album featuring Dave Bixby “Second Coming”. Acid-soaked psychedelic folk legend and one-time cult hymnist Dave Bixby assembles an international commune of artists to form Dave Bixby’s Harbinger Orchestra, simultaneously the culmination of 50 years of Dave Bixby’s cult influence on psychedelic and folk music as well as the genesis of a new era in his legacy that expands beyond the mythos of the man and embraces the sonic and thematic lineage of his music. Unknown to most collectors, even to those who were a fan of folk music in the 60s and 70s, this album was never commercially released on any music label and was sold only at several Harbinger concerts that the band gave in Michigan and Ohio. The copy of this album is even absent in the majority of mindblowing collections. Original single-type cardboard psychedelic “Sunflower” cover symbolizing God’s love and sign of religious soul. The back cover contains a black and white paste-over slick with a “whos” misprint in the credit at the bottom reading “Our deep appreciation to Mike Generalovich of Wallace-Blakeslee Inc whos efforts made this album possible”. Heavyweight plate private vinyl pressing with the celestial blue labels containing the AE 100 catalog number and 2.75” pressing ring and full matrix numbers having the “ARP” (machine-stamped in italics on Side 1 and handwritten on Side 2) identifier of the American Record Pressing Co., plant located in Michigan: AE-100-A Gm Re ARP / AE-100-B Gm Re ARP.  The album comes with an original plain white paper inner sleeve.

The clean cover remains in its original shrink wrap and is in Near Mint Minus condition, just like the original inner sleeve that doesn't have any splits or tears. The vinyl is somewhere between strong Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus as it has only a few very light non-feelable surface hairlines that don't affect the playback. The labels are very clean with Side 1 being in Near Mint Minus condition and Side 2 in Excellent condition due to it having a couple of very light spindle marks that could be seen only under a strong light source. The vinyl sounds amazing with only some very light occasional static that most likely could get reduced or go away completely if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
