Original German “The Beatles’ Voice” EP with four singles, including “I'm Happy Just To Dance With You”, “And I Love Her”, “Tell Me Why” and “Any Time At All”. This is the 1st pressing of this issue released on Odeon Records in early October, 1964. Original blue-white cardboard laminated picture sleeve with a large red “THE BEATLES’ VOICE” banner and a black and white portrait of the band by Dezo Hoffman against the celestial blue background. Odeon and EMI logomark and catalog No. "O 41 647 / GEOW 1296" are printed in the upper left corner. The back cover contains the celestial blue “The Beatles’ Voice” banner, track listing and 6 adverts for other German Beatles releases. The bottom left corner has the Odeon and EMI logo right above the “Printed in Germany” printed with the top right corner containing the “41647” catalog number. 1st print “Made in Germany” green Odeon labels with the Pantheon logo and “O 41 647” catalog number. 1st style labels with the “ALLE…” rim text that were issued by German Odeon until mid-1966. Just like this copy, EPs pressed from 1964 to 1967 feature an LP-size label, which is glued over the top of the EPs ridges, and have a full-size center hole. 1st pressing matrix numbers feature the -1 / -1 stampers: Side 1 (7 TBE 50077) – 7TBE 50077-1 / Side 2 (7 TBE 50078) – 7TBE 50078-1.

I grade the cover as Excellent. It's very clean and doesn't have any splits, writing or wear, just a few light creases on the front and back. The vinyl is graded visually as Very Good Plus and its playback as Excellent. It has some very light hairlines as well as scuffs from the picture sleeve and a few "fogging" marks, none of which affect the vinyl playback. The Side 1 label is in Near Mint condition while Side 2 is Excellent due to small crosses written next the side's first two track titles. Aside from that the labels are completely free from scuffing, wear and spindle marks. The vinyl plays amazing with a dynamic and punchy sound of a German pressing, just having some very light occasional static heard during the quiet passages at a loud volume and which most likely will go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI machine.
