Original German “The Beatles’ Music” EP with four singles, including “No Reply”, “I’m A Loser”, “Rock and Roll Music” and “Eight Days A Week”. This is the 1st pressing of this issue released on Odeon Records in early March, 1965. Original orange-red cardboard laminated picture sleeve with a large “THE BEATLES’ MUSIC” banner at the top right corner and Odeon / EMI logomark along with the catalog number “SMO 41 668” printed in the upper left corner. The back side contains the “I’am A Loser” misprint at the center top. This is an extremely rare 1st pressing picture sleeve, which is very often called after the misprint it contains “I’am A Loser", the misprint that was corrected on the picture sleeve of the second pressing. The back cover contains the green “The Beatles’ Music” banner, track listing and 6 adverts for other German Beatles releases. The bottom left corner has the Odeon and EMI logo right with the “Printed in Germany” text printed at the bottom center. The top right corner contains the “SMO 41 668” catalog number. 1st print “Made in Germany” green Odeon labels with two white “Stereo” banners, the Pantheon logo and “SMO 41 668” catalog number. 1st style labels with the “ALLE…” rim text that were issued by German Odeon until mid-1966. Just like this copy, EPs pressed from 1964 to 1967 feature an LP-size label, which is glued over the top of the EPs ridges, and have a full-size center hole. 1st pressing matrix numbers feature the -1 / -1 stampers: Side 1 (7 TYBE 50079) – 7TYBE 50079-1 / Side 2 (7 TYBE 50080) – 7TYBE 50080-1

I grade the cover as somewhere between Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus. It's very clean and doesn't have any splits or writing, just some light hint of ring wear on the front cover along with some light overall age shelf wear. The vinyl is graded as Very Good Plus visually and its playback as Excellent. The record has some very light non-feelable surface hairlines that don't affect the playback. The green Odeon labels are super clean and are in Near Mint condition without having any scuffs, wear or spindle marks. The vinyl plays amazing with a dynamic and vivid sound of a German pressing.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
