Original Columbia Records promotional copy of Bob Dylan’s 6th studio album released in August, 1965 with the alternate take longer version of “From a Buick 6” containing a harmonica intro. Limited “For Demonstration Use Only Not For Sale” edition featuring “A Striking Portrait Suitable for Framing” as advertised on the red round sticker affixed to the original factory shrink wrap. The portrait poster is executed on a textured matte paper stock measuring 9” x 12”.  The front cover of this limited edition copy also contains the second hype sticker promoting “Like A Rolling Stone” track which is affixed to the shrink wrap along with a white rectangular “For Demonstration Use Only Not For Sale” sticker affixed to the lower left corner underneath the fully intact shrink wrap as well as Side 1 label. 1st print cover with the “Meaningful” text in the liner notes on the back and number “7” in the lower right-hand corner. Very early 1st Columbia Records 2.75” pressing ring red labels with "Nonbreakable" text, which is missing on the second release, under the catalog number CS 9189. Side 1 label contains a "For Demonstration Use Only" sticker, analogous to the one located on the front cover. The vinyl pressed at the Pitman pressing plant in New Jersey as identified by the "P" stamp in the runout grooves contains the 1st pressing -1A / -1A matrix numbers along with the A1 / A mother stampers. The full matrix numbers are as follows: o XSM110640-1A  P A1 (Side 1) / o  XSM110641-1A  P A (Side 2). The album comes with the original blue inner sleeve having stripes running vertically and the Columbia Records logo in the middle.

The cover remaining in the original factory shrink wrap is in stunning Near Mint condition, and perhaps could also be graded as Mint-. The glossy vinyl preserves its beautiful factory lacquer and is graded somewhere in between strong Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus. The vinyl contains only a few very light non-feelable hairlines along with some very light scuffs from the original paper inner sleeve which is in Near Mint Minus condition without having any splits or tears. The clean labels in Excellent condition are completely wear- and scuff- free, only having a few very light spindle marks that could be seen under a strong light source. The vinyl sounds amazing with a vivid punchy Stereo sound.
