I will be listing a wide variety of obscure and collectible records from a lifetime 45 year collection of several thousand LP's. I have collected for quite some time and have some fairly unusual and nice pieces.
Feel free to contact me if you are looking for a specific title I can list.
I am an experienced seller and collector who has collected for over 40 years. I am familiar with both visual and play grading. I sold audio equipment for over 25 years.
These LP's have been played on quality gear since I have owned them. I use to sell high end audio equipment for a living. If you are interested in multiple pieces please let me know and I am glad to combine shipping.
If the Media
rate seems a couple of dollars high, it is because the item includes
insurance on higher priced LP's, and also includes the cost of new mailers to insure safe arrival.
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a copy of The Dave Brubeck Quartet release of Time Out. This is a 1st issue as released in 1959. The cover is a less frequently seen and I believe it to be the first version with the black bottom border, and no Columbia logo in the upper left corner as seen on subsequent covers. There is also no mention of CBS.
The label is a 6 eye with red interior. The same label was also produced having an orange interior. There is no CBS lettering under the word Columbia at the header of the label, also indicating an early pressing.
I grade conservatively, as I would rather customers be pleasantly surprised as opposed to disappointed.
Cover Grade: Good to Good+ There is rubbing wear to the front of the cover as seen in the pics. The back also shows wear, and has a name written in ink at the upper left corner. The spine is clean. There is wear to the bottom cover seam. The top cover seam has a split which goes from the opening edge towards the spine which is about 5 inches in length. The original inner sleeve is included.
Vinyl Visual Grade: VG++ to NM There are a couple iof minor light marks on one side preventing a higher grade. The vinyl is very clean and glossy.
Vinyl Play Grade: NM to NM+
Grading wise I do not really call any vinyl Mint.

All open records are cleaned with a top of the line Nitty Gritty Machine prior to shipping.
I add a couple of dollars for the cost of record mailers, other packing materials, and insurance. I will gladly combine shipping if bidding on multiple pieces.
