Free As a Bird is from a John Lennon unfinished demo tape that Paul, George and Ringo
finished and released in 1995. Side 2, Christmas Time, was originally released in pieces to the Beatles Fan Club Members in the 1960s. It was issues here for the first time uninterrupted. Near the end are some spoken seasonal greetings, taped in 1966, followed by a John Lennon pastiche.
