Original Capitol Records promotional copy of The Beatles Original Motion Picture Soundtrack “Help!” released by Capitol Records on August 13, 1965. Capitol Records promotional, demonstration and DJ copies were sent to radio stations as much as several months prior to the official commercial release of the album and considered to be the earliest very 1st pressings of the record. This pre-release promotional Help! album is an original motion picture soundtrack, compiled by Capitol Records in the US, containing 12 songs by the Beatles and instrumentals by Ken Thorne and his orchestra.  Incredibly rare promotional copy with a perforated drill-hole "PROMO" punch at the top right corner of the front cover. Original Capitol Records MAS-2386 Mono multi-color band black label without the "Subsidiary” print. This 1st print mono label variation doesn't list the author credit (Ken Thorne) for B4 "The Bitter End" and B6 "The Chase" and doesn't list "You Can't Do That" as part of the B4 track. Original very early 1st pressing thick vinyl with the hand written first matrix numbers in the trail-off vinyl: Side 1: M1 - 2386 – F1 #2 IAM in Triangle / Side 2: M2 - 2386 – G8 #2 IAM in Triangle. The IAM in triangle stamp identifies the issue as an original 1st East Coast release Capitol Records, Scranton, Pennsylvania, plant pressing. The issue comes with the original Capitol Records olive green "Capitol's New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo sounds better than stereo has ever sounded before" printed paper inner sleeve with adverts for other Capitol Records releases. As a bonus to this promotional copy, we’ve included a rare original large 1st “HELP!” videotape release 27” x 34” promotional display containing the flaps on the back side which were used to attach this top piece to the floor stand. This vintage promotional display could serve as an outstanding design element in your music room.

The cover is graded as Excellent and would be Near Mint Minus if it wasn't due to some very light shelf wear on the back. The cover is very clean and doesn't have any writing, splits or residue. The interior gatefold is in Near Mint Minus condition. The rigid spine contains a fully readable text. The original Capitol olive inner sleeve is in Near Mint Minus condition. I grade the vinyl as Excellent Plus. It retains its beautiful factory gloss and has just few very light and barely noticeable non-feelable hairlines. The clean labels are in beautiful Near Mint condition and don't have any scuffs, wear or spindle marks. The vinyl sounds great only having some very light occasional static, which most likely would get reduced or go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. The vintage display stand is in great vintage condition having some light occasional shelf wear and signs of use.
