Original 1st US Columbia Records Mono pressing pre-release promotional DJ radio station copy of Bob Dylan’s fifth studio album "Brining It All Back Home" released by Columbia Records in March, 1965. This promotional copy of the first album from the so-called “Bob Dylan’s rock album trilogy” was sent to the media and radio stations several months before the album’s release date. 1st print cover contains the original Columbia Records “RADIO STATION SERVICE NOT FOR RESALE CL 2328” promotional timing strip banner at the bottom on the front. The front cover also contains a promo hit single “Featuring SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES” hype sticker in the upper right-hand corner which can be found only on the very early 1st pressing copies, promotional and commercial. This promotional album comes with with the original Columbia Records striped grey-white inner sleeve with the Columbia logo. Original promotional Columbia Records 2-eye “Printed in USA” 2.75” pressing ring “Radio Station Copy – Not For Resale” white label. 1st pressing vinyl was mastered by Customatrix, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Columbia Records and CBS, Inc., as identified by the “o” symbol in the runout groove of Side 1. The 1st full matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1 - o XLP-79421-1D A1; Side 2 – XLP-79422-1B B I I. It’s extremely rare to come across a promotional copy that comes together with the official biography of the artist / band members. This original July, 1965 official Columbia Records’ 5-page document has Dylan’s biography typed up on a typewriter using the company’s paper stock with the Columbia logo at the top right corner of the title page. The uniqueness of this vintage original copy lies in the fact that the biography contains some inaccuracies and examples of Dylan’s self-mythologisation.

The cover is graded as Excellent. It's very clean and doesn't have any splits, ring wear, writing, soiling or residue of any sort. There is only a very light creasing at the top right corner and a little bit of age discoloration in a couple of spots. The spine contains a fully readable text. The official Columbia Records biography of Dylan is in Near Mint Minus condition. I grade the glossy vinyl as Excellent Minus. It has only a couple of very light non-feelable surface hairlines as well as scuffs from the inner sleeve which is in Near Mint Minus condition and doesn't have any splits. The gourgeous snow white labels are in Near Mint Minus condition and on't have any scuffs, wear or spindle marks. The vinyl sounds great only having some very light occasional static that will most likely go away if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI machine.
