Original 1st US pressing factory sealed copy of The Band’s debut album “Music From Big Pink” released on the Capitol Records label on July 1st, 1968. The Band was often called “Dylan’s backing band” as it accompanied Bob Dylan during his 1965 US Tour and 1966 World Tour. The design of the gatefold cover uses the drawing created by Dylan. The information about it is indicated on the insanely rare yellow hype sticker located on the back cover underneath the shrink wrap reading “COVER BY BOB DYLAN MUSIC BY HIS BAND” whereas the subsequent pressing covers show the “© B.D. 1968” copyright credit printed at the bottom of the front cover. The front cover contains a very rare neon pink misprint song title “Music From Big Pink” hype sticker with the “2955” catalog number affixed to the shrink wrap on the left side. The sticker contains an error indicating 5 tracks for Side 2 whereas the correct number of songs is 6. The title of "Chess Fever" (B3) track is absent from the sticker. Thick cardboard cover with a black border has the 1st print white top and bottom edges containing the SKAO 2955 catalog number on the front and back along with the spine. The shrink wrap is fully intact and doesn't have any tears, splits or missing pieces, containing the original breathe holes on the front and back cover. Outstanding factory sealed copy in Mint condition.
