Incredible LP from Pixies, range of approaches, crashing waves of surf-pop, deep twanging surf-ballads, acid-fried country, speed metal grunge. Charles and Kim howl and holler away through Joey Santiago's caterwauling guitar to produce one of the great indie albums of the late eighties. Very instant, despite all the noise, quite accessible.
Record plays perfectly, no scratches Outer sleeve is printed on a matt finish card and as a result has picked marked over time, but nothing especially ugly and is still in excellent condition, edges and corners still sturdy. Original inner sleeve. But the real prize is the lyric booklet which is near pristine, showcasing beautiful Simon Larbalestier photographs arranged in 23 Envelope's characteristic atmospheric and influential layout style. Plus you can holler along to the record.
