Pixies, Come On Pilgrim, mini LP vinyl
A1. Caribou, A2. Vamos, A3. Isla De Encanta, A4. Ed Is Dead B1. The Holiday Song, B2. Nimrod's Son, B3. I've Been Tired, B4. Levitate Me.
Debut release from the Pixies, eight killer tracks, racous aggressive melding of surf, country and heavy metal into a compelling adrenalin fix. Witty and disturbing lyrics. It's all there right from the get go. Their best record? The only missing element is Kim Deal's idiosyncratic backing vocals - although present on a couple of tracks - they aren't one of the key elements that came to define the Pixies by the end of Surfer Rosa. The bass, too, isn't as dominant. But still an incredible record, highly influential, that showed a way to make noise into pop.
Record plays perfectly, no scratches Outer sleeve in excellent condition, with lovely Simon Larbalestier photos, standard paper inner sleeve.
This is the original UK pressing from 1987, it has been re-issued a couple of times since.
