In 1976, Canadian progressive rock superstars Rush released their fourth studio album. This marked a turning point for the band, and their record label was threatening to drop them. They wanted a hit! Now most bands would have tripped over themselves trying to write short and catchy, radio friendly hit songs, but Rush wasn't like most bands. Instead, they delivered a loose concept album (with one entire side being that concept, and it also being one long song)! It's a rock and roll masterpiece, their best seller (until 'Moving Pictures'), and one of my most favorite albums of all time...

In 2016, and to mark the FORTIETH anniversary of that landmark record, Anthem, by way of Mercury and UMe, released several different versions of a remastered '2112'! One version is the super deluxe box set, with THEEE vinyl albums, TWO CDs, and a DVD. And many extras! The first CD is the remastered original 1976 album. Just cleaned up, and sounding incredible. The second CD is some live versions, a 1977 radio ad, as well as some remakes of '2112' tracks by members of The Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Porcupine Tree, and more! The DVD has one of those remakes, live stuff, and a Q&A with guitarist Alex Lifeson and '2112' producer Terry Brown! Almost 70 minutes of Rush awesomeness!

There's also THREE vinyl records! Two are the original album, then the remakes and live stuff. There's also the sixth side which is a cool etched red star hologram! And they add lithographs, buttons, a handbill, and a Starman trurntable mat! No wonder these things go for over $300 to $400 or $500! Out of print, and only a limited number of these were made. First pic is a stock photo, but rest assured, this copy is factory sealed!

Take this very cool and extremely sweet box of Rush goodies home with you, but don't wait too long. Rush has millions of fans, all over the world. Sure, there's other copies around, but not too many at this price. Geddy, Neil, and Alex are ready to come rock out at your place, so you can hear the story of '2112', and what a story it is!
