This listing is for the rare, 1962, black-label, Howlin' Wolf, vinyl LP record shown and as found.  Self-titled on CHESS records, LP 1469.  Please view the photos and read the detailed descriptions below before bidding. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I do my best to describe items as accurately as possible. If anyone feels I have mis-stated anything, please let me know and I will correct the listing immediately.  
VINYL:  I listened to both sides the whole way through. There is some surface noise and a few ticks, but the album was still very enjoyable to listen to. No skips on my player.  Please note that there are quite a few hairlines and scratches, from light to more distinct, with a few very noticeable scratches on side one. Some of these may cause additional surface noise, but nothing that was distracting to me.  I would unprofessionally grade the vinyl at VG, according to the following definition I found online and use.  "VG= Can have quite a few scratches. Most likely there will be some noise but will play through and be enjoyable to listen to." PLEASE NOTE that the previous owner signed initials on side one on the paper label (see pics). Also, there is some spindle marks on the paper label on both sides.    
DEAD WAX AREA (side one)=  Looks like... LP 1469 SIDE 1  U-11558  FM 0177.  Also appears to be a circle, with a number "2" in it, but I can't be certain.  DEAD WAX AREA (side two)=  Looks like... LP1469 SIDE 2  U-11559  FM0180.  Also appears to be a circle, with a "0" in it, but I can't be certain.
CARBOARD SLEEVE/JACKET:  Intact, but does have some wear, marks, mfg glue stains, some creasing and some yellowing on the back, as shown in the many pics.  Creasing is mainly on the left-front side (see pic 8).  There is also creasing above the guitar body on the front, which I tried to pick up in pic# 10. PLEASE NOTE that the previous owner also signed their initials on the back-top, as shown.
