Original very early 1st US Apple Records pressing of John Lennon's 2nd studio album “Imagine” released by Apple Records on September 9, 1971. The cover, laminated on both sides and designed by Yoko Ono, remains factory sealed with the fully intact shrink wrap containing breath holes on each side of the album. The back cover contains an original “Imagine John Lennon Plastic Ono Band” misprint song title hype sticker affixed to the shrink wrap at the center top. The back cover contains an extremely rare large "Imagine John Lennon Plastic Ono Band" song title 3” x 5” hype sticker affixed to the shrink wrap at the center top, which can be found only on the very early 1st pressing copies of the album. The sticker contains a misprint, reading "Oh Yoke!" instead of "Oh Yoko!". It’s guaranteed that this very early copy contains insides a large 24” x 36” poster of John playing the white piano. It’s possibly that inside the album you’ll also find a 4” x 6” postcard of either John straddling a pig, or a different image of a nymph-like photo of Yoko and Lennon. We’ve also come across some copies that contained both of these postcard inserts. This issue comes with a custom inner sleeve designed by John Lennon, having the photos and names of the personnel, who participated in the production of the album along with the portraits taken from a photographic composite of members of the Eastern Synod on one side, and the lyrics / credits on another side in the form of outgoing rays. The back cover has the "Imagine John Lennon" text and the Apple Records logo at the bottom right corner along with the "Imagine the clouds dripping. Dig a hole in your garden to put them in. Yoko '63" banner at the bottom left corner.

The album is graded as Mint Minus with only the back cover having a light discoloration spot on the right side, but aside from that, the album in amazing vintage condition.
