ORIGINAL 1st US CAPITOL RECORDS PRESSING FACTORY SEALED COPY

THE BEATLES ~ YESTERDAY AND TODAY (1966)

CAPITOL RECORDS, JACKSONVILLE, IL PLANT PRESSING

RIAA “4” ON THE BACK COVER

GOLD “CAPITOL ‘66” INNER SLEEVE VISIBLE AT THE COVER’S MOUTH

Original 1st East Coast Stereo pressing factory sealed copy of The Beatles “Yesterday and Today” released by Capitol Records on June 15, 1966. This Stereo Jacksonville, IL plant pressing copy with the RIAA 4 identifier at the bottom right corner of the back cover comes across extremely rarely as the majority of copies pressed at the Jacksonville plant were in the Mono format. This copy has the fourth cover variation with the "trunk" paste over slick. The album remains factory sealed containing the original breathe holes on the left side of the front cover. Under the bright light, through the fully intact shrink wrap one can see the original 1st print gold Capitol Records “Capitol ’66; Sounds Great!” inner sleeve at mouth of the cover. This inner sleeve was used only on the 1st pressing copies of the “Yesterday and Today” album. Absolutely guaranteed that this copy contains the 1st print Capitol black multi-color band labels with the ST-2553 catalog number and without the “Subsidiary of…” rim text inside.

We grade the cover as Mint Minus. The vinyl slightly pushed through the inner sleeve at the cover’s mouth but the shrink wrap remains fully intact and doesn’t have any splits, tears or missing pieces. The bottom right corner has a very light ding but aside from that the album is in great condition.
