VALUABLE ULTRA-CARE:
We use a very surgical 2-step cleaning process: step one involves surface cleaning with proprietary Nitty Gritty and Mobile Fidelity cleaning products to remove any existing dust or contaminants from the surface of the record. Step two involves a full 10 minute ultrasonic bath with anti-static and deionized cleaning products. These 2-steps very effectively remove any dormant contaminants hidden deep within the grooves of the vinyl disc. The disc is then blown dry by the same cleaning machine before being immediately placed inside a new protective outer sleeve. We DO NOT leave the discs out to dry in a rack to collect airborne dust! We clean and re-sleeve them one at a time! All original sleeves and inserts are included unless otherwise noted in the listing details below.
Additionally, most lp's will be play-graded unless they appear unplayed (MINT-). Unplayed discs will still be checked to ensure they are not warped.

VISUAL GRADING SCALE:  MINT-/NM/NM-/EX+/EX/VG+/VG
MINT-   unplayed condition NM       very slight signs of play, no surface marks NM-      maybe a couple ultra light sleeve marks EX+      a couple sleeve scuffs and/or hairlines but no feeler marks EX        some sleeve scuffs and hairlines but no feeler marks VG+      notable scuffs and hairlines but no feeler marks, no skips VG        look elsewhere, I do not collect or sell shelf fillers ;-)

THIS LISTING IS FOR THE FOLLOWING ITEM:

Artist/Title:    FLEETWOOD MAC ~ RUMORS
Label:     Warner Brothers Records/Warner-Pioneer, Japan

Catalog Number:    P-10233W

Specifics:    Vintage 1977 Audiophile-Grade White Label Promo 1st Edition - Japan - 4-page picture/lyrics insert, separate Japanese lyrics/liner insert, poly inner sleeve, all in bright clean solid condition!

Vinyl Grade ~ Visual/Play:   strong NM-/strong NM- ; Disc surfaces are super clean with brilliant high gloss! Clean unmarked labels! The disc plays incredibly well with deep rich dynamics and phenomenal sonics! No notable ticks, no pops and absolutely no skips!! Brilliant, virtually flawless playback!!

Please note: visually, when playing side A, the disc is pancake flat! When playing side B, there is a noticeable somewhat modest and gentle surface undulation at the outer perimeter of the disc, BUT, it does not affect playback whatsoever!! The disc plays incredibly cleanly from trail-in to trail-out! A couple of good tests were playing "Songbird" which played unbelievably cleanly, almost like a CD - seriously! And "The Chain" which is the first track on side B, plays incredibly well and cleanly with absolutely zero effect on tempo or audio quality, referring to the so-called undulation. Enough said.....

On a personal note; to whomever wins this in auction, I'm so confident with the playback quality of this disc that if YOU are not happy with the playback sound quality - I WILL PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING, even if you're in Europe! This is an absolute keeper and super rare!!

Jacket Grade:    strong EX+ ; Extremely clean jacket overall, with no rubbing or ring wear! Clean solid seams and fully legible title edge! Modest bottom gate corner nudge. There are some very light blemishes on the edges and on the front right panel, but still an absolutely frame worthy jacket!

The Obi is unmarked, crisp and clean with no stains, tears or blemishes.

BONUS ALSO INCLUDED: This lp set includes a Japanese newspaper clipping from 1977 advertising the releases of both "Fleetwood Mac Rumors" and "Pink Floyd Animals"

What's so special about vintage Japanese vinyl pressings?

Unlike many US domestic record companies, which mass produced and used recycled vinyl for their huge market, Japanese vinyl records utilized superior virgin vinyl for their pressings, which resulted in dead-quiet, audiophile-grade pressings! Japanese mastering is also considered by many as the finest on the planet!

Many Japanese lp sets include bonus tracks and special inserts, such as posters and photo pinups, typically not included with domestic releases. Japanese releases were also produced with significantly better jacket materials, and included the beautiful, highly collectible and decorative Obi strips. These Obi strips identify the album in Japanese text, describing the artist, album contents and pricing! Some releases include special additional narrow red w/white text Obi strips identifying and commemorating a group's tour visit to Japan.

Japanese lp's were not produced in huge quantities, like US editions, therefore there are significantly fewer copies left in circulation, which also means that the stampers had fewer runs, which resulted in more consistent pressing quality throughout the vinyl pressing process. As an example, the original late 1970's and early 1980's productions and issues of Mobile Fidelity vinyl pressings, were made in Japan
