artist Roy Marcum label Fidelity title Stone Walls & Steel Bars / Stepping Stone record condition VG- notes Only known copy! Previously thought to be recorded first by the Stanley Brothers in 1963, here is the original first recording by the song writer himself. Marcum and Ray Pennington penned this famous bluegrass anthem and then proceeded to Fidelity studios here in Cincinnati, Ohio and had this demo pressed to shop around the tune. Acetates are fragile, this one has no chipping but does have hairlines and marks. A rare chance to own a true piece of history!
