SHARON & FRIENDS -- Portrait -- ex. rare, original mid-1970's (??) U.S. album. Very nice and apparently completely unknown Private Press Female Xian Soft Rock LP from this way-obscure Caruthers (Fresno area), California based group led by singer-songwriter Sharon Weymouth, with a smooth, radio-friendly 1970's groove ala Bread, Anne Murray, Olivia Newton-John etc. on tracks like the uptempo "Consecrated" and "Jesus I Believe" and excellent, heartfelt ballad "Portrait" among others. Apart from one throwaway children's tune, this is all Mainstream Soft Rock-Pop with Xian lyrics, and very tasty stuff. There's apparently no information on the band, and I've never seen another copy of this. See photo for track list. Cover: VG+++/Near Mint-, still in shrink wrap, price sticker on outside of shrink. Record: VG+++, on private label, U.S. press.
