5 John Williams Soundtrack LPs: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Raiders of the Lost Ark!

This is an auction for 5 classic John Williams soundtrack LPs. I got all of these when I was a kid and held on to them ever since.

In general, all 5 of these records are in nice shape. I haven't listened to any of them on a turntable in many years, but my best recollection is that all of them sounded pretty good... no scratches or skips that I can remember.

Please see all the photos for a close look at the condition of these LPs, but here's a little more detail on each:

Star Wars (1977)
It's been in a protective sleeve since the 1980s, but the album case has some wear from when I first bought it. All of the original inserts are included: both records in their original sleeves (the edges of the paper sleeves are torn, which is common with old LPs), liner note sheet, and original and awesome Star Wars poster. The poster is in excellent shape, with no tears or holes along the crease edges that I can find. No major scratches or damage are visible on the two records, although they certainly got a lot of play in the late 70s.

The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
This has also been in a protective sleeve since the 1980s. The album case has some wear in the shape of the LPs. On the inside, the color booklet is still stapled to the album case securely and in great shape. Both records in their original sleeves are included. No major scratches or damage are visible on the two records, even though both were played quite a bit back in the day.

Return of the Jedi (1983)
I put this in a protective sleeve immediately after I bought it, so the album case is in excellent condition. It still has some gloss and few if any noticeable marks. Same goes for inside color foldout: it is in nearly pristine condition. The record is protected by its original plastic sleeve, and is also in very good condition. (I never played this record much.)

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Not in a protective sleeve, but nevertheless the album case is in relatively good condition with minimal wear. It includes one normal-sized LP with the complete soundtrack. (This has a light scratch on side 2 that goes across a lot of the tracks, but my best recollection is it does not cause pops or skips.) Also included is a smaller (45-sized, but still 33 1/3 speed) "special complimetary single" of the CE3K theme.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
The album case is still protected by its original shrink-wrap packaging! As a result, the album case is like new and in pristine condition. The LP itself is still protected by its original sleeve and is in excellent condition with little visible wear or scratches. (This LP was not played much.)

These amazing soundtracks meant a lot to me when I was a kid, and I hope they get a good home.
