CLEO LAINE - Thieving boy/Let's slip away                            Fontana H269                   with Company sleeve                    CONDITION:    NM  Brilliant jazz and supper club singer who has been around for yonks, especially with her late husband, band leader and composer Johnny Dankworth. She would try a pop single now and again, and had considerable success with "You'll Answer To Me".  "Thieving Boy"is a theme from the 1960 film known here as "The Criminal", but in the States rather better known as "The Concrete Jungle". Directed by Joseph Losey, it's a rather bleak racecourse robbery/prison drama caper starring Stanley Baker, Sam Wanamaker, Patrick Wymark and Nigel Green. These three English actors were all to die in their 40's, robbing us of considerable talent. The full cast list is unbelievable! This rarity is listed by Record Collector at £12.00 but my price is only £4.95.
